Julia Kent played cello on the album today. She added elegance to the sonic
palette of what is becoming the reality of the vision I had nearly two
years ago for this album.
I asked her to echo one of the melodic phrases sung by Philip Anselmo who
sang a very special version of "Overthrown" for the album. This is the most
beautiful moment on the album to me and the song relates to the new
acoustic version of Mouth Of Flames in theme and acts as a balance for the
guitar driven pieces within.
Yes, I have created another concept album. It is not of one dimension and
meaning and pertains to the state of the earth and also humanity. Yes, I
have written thematically outside of my 'self.'
If the Anhedoniac album is autobiographical in nature (and it most
definitely is) , this new album is being written through me (as an oracle
?) yet not about "me"... Have you ever understood the inherent meaning and heart of something you
have not known on the physical realm? I have undergone this experience in
making this album. Am I transformed as a result?
There are no sufficient words...
