This is my last night in Cordoba. It is a beautiful town with a distinct
pace. I love the buildings and the stunning combination of the old with the
contemporary. I had a great time at the Cosmopoetica tonight and throughly
enjoyed the performance and the people I met here. It was held outdoors and
it was quite cold outside. Yet I thought it was a beautiful venue. I had a
croissant today that rivals any croissant I have had in France. For me,
that is saying a lot since I am a lover of the croissant. The organizers of
the event this evening are warm and stylish and lovely people who are a joy
to work with. I will write a bit more about my impressions of these recent
visits to Spain later. For now, it is 2:35 A.M. here and I need to unwind
and get some sleep. I slept from midnight to 2 p.m. last night from the
jetlag. When I wake up Sunday, I take a taxi to the train station and a
train back to Madrid and then a car to the airport and then a plane to
Rome and then a plane to Florence and then I see La Specola !
I am so excited to be going to Florence. I can hardly believe that for the
first time in years, I will have a few days of only seeing art and no other
agenda but breathing the air.
