friday night i went to 'whitespace' gallery to see a rare matthew barney film made on location in brazil. the range of fetish is endless it seems. today i have been engaged in shifting energy in my own creative process. sewing and reading and even watching a disney movie. i have come to realize that peace and utter serenity are necessary components to the creative process and indeed to the very core of sanity. every experience of suffering or happiness is filtered through our thoughts. to this end, it is necessary to maintain a balance in one's thoughts. to do this, it is necessary to develop awareness and a selective flow of information.

i'm looking forward to an opening at the zen center in september and the preparations for the show in oakland. there are more shows on the horizon and new recording projects. i've been pleased with the experimental projects i have done recently and it has been good to embrace that solitary process.
