Last night by candlelight and the smoke of spiral temple incense to discourage the mosquitos, we sat outside in large rocking chairs with our bare feet in the cool grass. In the sky were stars and a mysterious sweeping searchlight. My companion was Lydia Lunch who sipped a strong iced coffee as she relaxed before her spoken word performance . Later that evening at the club, every seat was taken and her performance was captivating and professional. The thing about Lydia, both on stage and off, is that she is so full of life, so observant and curious about the world around her. . www.lydialunch.org
