I’m writing from O.F.F. This is Larsen’s studio in Torino. This is our last day before we leave for Rome to do the performance tomorrow evening. Paolo and Robbie just drove up with the van. We load the gear soon and leave at 8 A.M. in the morning for the 8 hour drive to Rome. From Rome, we fly to Warsaw and then Gdansk. We will be in Gdansk for several days. I will write an overview of highlights and/or moments captured in my mind’s eye on the plane home and put it up for you in an Artery. For now, I will say that this may be the last entry before I get back to Torino or maybe even Atlanta. I have been borrowing Paolo’s PowerBook G4 which he has kindly let me use while in the studio during our breaks. However, we will be on the road for a few days and then … perhaps I will get the chance to make an entry on March 14 when we play Torino.. Will see…Last night I went to a huge supermarket in a mall outside the city. I bought groceries and a bottle of wine. As we left, I saw a number of prostitutes looking up expectantly lining the road by small fires to stay warm as they awaited a customer. The image was savage somehow as well as bleakly contemporary. There are many old churches of course. It is Italy afterall. Along with the sex ads on tv for things like “incest”… this is a place of many contrasts. ………. …………
Albert Einstein: “nothing happens until something moves.” ……… Energy becomes something we call problems as we think about them and as we think about them, these things will get worse. The energy that you have for what you want is in your thoughts. Changing your thoughts is how you change the problems in your life.
