I walked through Soho today and visited the Apple store on Prince Street as well as Evolution on Spring Street and my favorite shoe store, Tootsi Plohound on West Broadway. I picked out vintage postcards to mail to some friends at Untitled – including a card with a photograph of the World Trade Towers. Later, I walked along Avenue C and then over to Cafe Mogador for Bastilla. Earlier, Blixa Bargeld phoned from New Orleans. He is on tour and will be in Atlanta soon. Einsturzende Neubauten are on tour and one of the last two dates is in Atlanta. —– Last night, Lary Seven came by with the fan Tony Conrad had used on stage for his performance at Tonic. So now, I am enjoying not only the cool air but the soft sound of the large fan smoothing out the audio component of an otherwise crazy with noise busy street ! —– I am feeling stirrings of the awakening of peace deep inside me. I have compassion but am not concerned or burdened with passing psychological attitudes of people I know. They are in pain. This is obvious. And I realize that we all evolve at our own pace. In due time, people change. I hold no anger or hate inside myself and I forgive those who (may believe that they) do.
