I’m here in NYC in the East Village. Saturday night is the show and I am pleased to be on the same bill as my friends, The Angelic Process. I have had a good experience so far and it has been relaxing even though I have done a lot of walking on hot and crowded pavement. The thing about NYC is that it is about possibilities. The city attracts people from all walks of life and people who live here talk a lot about the city itself. My former home on East 6 th Street and Avenue B is completely transformed. My memories transform what I see to the dangerous and edgy place it was when I was in Swans and then I blink my eyes and it is back again to the safe , upscale and fashionable neighborhood it is today. I still love New York and I always will. NYC was my chosen home in contrast to the one chosen by my parents. When I come here, I am at ease and confident and I feel like I belong. I have none of the usual reticence in my personality. I understand the pulse and hunger for knowledge and life that is the very defining element of NYC. It is a source of inspiration. I am grateful to be able to call it home for the rest of my life no matter where else I may reside.
