I haven’t written an entry for the past couple of days because I have been so incredibly busy working and organizing. A big project is coming very soon and “all shall be revealed.” Meanwhile, I have entered into training phase # 1 and am doing intensive aerobic work every single day that is does not rain, outside. Tonight I alternately power-walked and broke into a full on sprint- for 4 miles. Phase 2 is the pain zone when the muscles and lungs are awakening to heightened emergency alert and adapting to the exertion. This phase is what separates the athlete from the amateur. This phase is when amateurs easily tear ligaments and pull muscles and get shin splints and spit up blood. I am not an amateur. When it comes to training, I have done it many times in preparation for the road. Phase # 3 will have me weight-lifting and run/power walking for 6 to 9 miles. That is when everything changes because metabolism and physiology change as a result. Meals are lighter. Water intake is massive. Sleep essential. Vitamins and supplements profound.
